We are pleased to introduce you to the St. Francis de Sales Tuition Reduction Incentive Program.   This program, also known as TRIP, allows families to purchase grocery, retail, gas, etc. certificates through St. Francis Parish.  The stores sell the certificates to the Parish at a discount.  The Parish then sells the certificates at face value to participating families and uses the discount to credit the family’s tuition account (for the following school year) or as a gift to the Church.

HOW?  Participants can obtain an order form which must be completed and returned to the St. Francis de Sales parish office or school office before 9:00 am on Friday of each week.  A check payable to St. Francis TRIP for the full amount of your purchase must be included.  No Post-Dated Checks will be accepted.  Orders will be available for pick-up on the following Thursday from  5:30 – 7:00 pm, Friday from 7:30 am – 9:30 am and Sunday from 10:00 am - Noon.  The schedule may change for Holiday and parish events, but you will be notified by the TRIP newsletter/or e-mail.

WHO?  Enrollment in this program is open to families who have students enrolled in St. Francis de Sales School, Blessed Sacrament School, and Newark Catholic High School.  Relatives can enroll and give the credit to the children’s school tuition.  Church members can enroll also and donate credits to St. Francis Church Lamy Center Debt, any General School Fund or to any of the above student’s tuition.   Enrollment forms are in each school office and must be completed prior to your first order.

WHEN?  St. Francis accepts orders each week until Friday at 9:00 am and orders may be picked up the following Thursday, Friday or Sunday. The new TRIP year begins the first week of March 2005.  You can enroll anytime.   These credits apply to the 2006-2007 school year. Credits will be disbursed to the school or church following the end of the TRIP year, which closes Feb. 28th, 2006.

March 26, 2008

Dear TRIP User:

As most of you are aware we ended our 2007–2008 TRIP year on February 29, 2008.  All profits from Great Lakes SCRIP, Kroger and Meijer have been tabulated and the totals have been sent out to Newark Catholic, Blessed Sacrament and St. Francis. The schools are now verifying student enrollment for the upcoming 2008-2009 school year and your profits will be applied to next year’s tuition.  Of course, Seniors currently enrolled at NC, will have the profits applied to the last payment of this school year.

At this time, there are no new changes to our TRIP program, so we will not be having a customer-wide re-enrollment. However, if you have any changes in your household such as:

-Personal changes (name, address, phone,e-mail,etc.)

-Student will no longer be enrolled at one of the above schools, but you wish to donate your profits to another family, or the general school or Lamy debt funds

-Your child will be at NC for the 2009-2010 school year, thus all profits you earn in 2008-2009 will need to be sent to NC …

PLEASE FILL OUT A NEW ENROLLMENT FORM during regular TRIP business hours or stop by the Parish Office in the Lamy center.

Please also remember that we will be losing some very dedicated and long-time, loyal volunteers at the end of this school year. Therefore, to keep TRIP running smoothly on a weekly basis, it will be necessary to bring new volunteers on board.  Please consider this and fill out a volunteer form with your availability.  Don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Helen Sage
