Who is running this Sports Shop and where do the profits go?

The Sports Shop is run by the Newark Catholic Athletic Association (NCAA), a group of dedicated volunteers who among other things, help raise money for the NCAA. Newark Catholic is one of the few schools whose athletic department is self-sufficient and does not use any tuition dollars. Your support of the NCAA through this Sports Shop is much appreciated. Is my Credit Card information secure?

Yes. We use PayPal to process our online payments. PayPal is a leader in online transaction processing and ensures your transaction is handled securely. Note that Newark Catholic does NOT see your credit card information, since that is handled entirely by PayPal.

I’d rather pay with my PayPal account. Do you support that?

Yes. You can use either your Credit Card or your PayPal account during the checkout process.

What are my Shipping options?

At checkout time, you can select from these shipping options:

  • Pickup at the school: Save on shipping charges and pick up your order at Newark Catholic. You can stop in to pick it up yourself, or if you’re a current NC parent, your student can pick up the order and bring it home.
  • Standard Shipping: Your order will be shipped to you, typically via USPS or UPS.
How are Shipping costs calculated?

We charge a “Shipping and Handling” fee to cover our costs for commercial shipping. (does not apply to orders picked up at the school)

What is the Transaction Fee?

All orders include a small transaction fee to cover our transaction processing fees with PayPal.

When will my order by ready?

We typically process online orders once a week. We don’t carry a large inventory, but normally obtain our merchandise in a reasonable turnaround. If you choose the “Pickup at the school” option, your order will typically be ready in about 2 weeks. Orders with Standard Shipping will be a few days longer.  Note that some backordered items may take longer, depending on our vendors.

I selected “Pickup at the school” — When and where do I go to pick my order up?

We will send you an email when your order is ready to be picked up from the school office. Please bring your email receipt. If you are an NC parent, your student can pick up your order and bring it home.

What is the Return Policy?

If an ordered item needs to be exchanged for a different size of that same item, please contact us at to arrange an exchange. While we can work exchanges such as this, we are not able to accept returns or return money on an order.
