NC Alumni Excelling as Collegiate Volleyball Coaches
Newark Catholic’s rich volleyball tradition continues to spread its influence at the collegiate level, including three NC alumni who had milestone seasons this year.
Leigh Ann (Matesich) Swartz (NC class of 2000) has shaped the Mount Union women’s volleyball program into one of the top teams in the Ohio Athletic Conference and the region as well. Under her leadership, the Mount Union volleyball team made history and claimed its first-ever Ohio Athletic Conference Title. It also earned its 2nd-ever berth in the NCAA tournament.
