NC had 7 wrestlers on the podium, including:

 

First Place:  D. J. DiVito (113) and Connor Shook (195)

 

Second Place:  Caleb Ohl (106) and Jake Smith (132)

 

Third Place:  Nate Ohl (120), Evan Hansel (138), and Anthony Wing (145)

The Newark Catholic Girls Basketball Team won the MSL-Ohio championship Friday night with its 51-44 victory over Licking Valley.  Prior to the game, the team recognized its seven seniors:  Lauren Blair, Tia Brown, Meghan Ceneviva, McKenzie Clark, Colleen Gilmore, Erin Sims, and Haley Wagner.

 

The team finishes the regular season with a 19-1 record, 13-1 in conference play.  They also achieved a perfect record in away games for the first time in school history.

 

Newark Catholic earned the #1 seed in the upcoming Division VI Central District tournament.  They begin their playoff run on Wednesday, Feb 15th, 6pm at Lakewood High School against Columbus International.

 

Congratulations to the NC Girls Basketball Team for your terrific season thus far!
