In celebration of Catholic Schools Week, Chad Judice, a nationally known motivational speaker and award-winning author spoke at an assembly today at Newark Catholic. His inspiring story is one of faith, hope, love, and the power prayer that illustrates when we unite our sufferings to that of Christ on the Cross, He can take what the world would proclaim to be a tragedy and turn it into a triumph. (Colossians 1:24,29)

 

In May of 2005 Coach Chad Judice was asked by a former student what his greatest fear was? He responded by saying it was to have a child with a mental or physical handicap, having no idea in four short years that fear would become his reality. A sixteen week ultrasound revealed that his second child had been diagnosed with a birth defect so severe that 80% of the couples who receive this diagnosis choose to terminate the pregnancy. Chad and Ashley Judice chose to pray for a miracle.
