Mrs. Boehmer ~ Coughlin Automotive “You Made A Difference” Award

IMG_1247Mrs. Trisha Boehmer has been selected as Coughlin Automotive You Made A Difference Teacher Award. Mrs. Boehmer was nominated by senior, Jordan Gilligan. Mrs. Boehmer teaches visual arts at Newark Catholic. Read her bio here:


Coughlin Automotive Group created this awards program to honor 13 selected educational staff members from the Licking County School Districts. There is one award recipient from each of the 10 districts plus- C-TEC, LCESC, and Newark Catholic. The purpose of the award is to recognize and honor each recipient for his/her outstanding effort to “Make-A-Difference” in the lives of students. 



NC Students give back through Big Brothers/Big Sisters

IMG_1240Each year Newark Catholic junior and seniors apply to be volunteers through the Licking County Big Brothers/Big Sisters program.
Students are go thru interviews and checks and then are matched one-on-one with an elementary school child. The student-volunteers then go to McGuffey Elementary once a week, and meet with their Littles. The NC students help develop reading skills, tutor as needed, and be a friend to a child in need of a caring role model and mentor.
It’s always great to see our students giving back to their community.

Zac Walker named NBC4 Student-Athlete of the Week

IMG_0233Zac Walker has been selected as NBC4 Student-Athlete of the Week. Zac excels above and beyond on and off the court. He is an honor student and is the President of the 2016 Senior Class. Zac’s stats on the basketball court are impressive as well. For the year he averages 12.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game. Congrats Zac on an award well deserved!

NC Robotics Team hosting fundraisers
