College Credit Plus Night - Feb. 2 @6PM

CCP logoCollege Credit Plus Information Night will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 6 pm in the school cafeteria.  Mrs. Welch will be covering the process to apply for admission to CCP, funding available to cover the coursework, the benefits and risks that come with this program, and the choices available to students.  Several area colleges will be available to discuss their CCP offerings.

College Credit Plus is a program open to students grades 7-12 that allows for dual credit.  Students can take college courses, earn both high school and college credit for the work, and be fully funded for the work (some conditions apply).  Currently, we have students taking Psychology and Composition I in our building, taught by COTC professors through CCP.  Additionally, we have students taking online courses that are available through Ohio colleges, and students have the opportunity to take coursework on the college campuses during the summer, fall, or spring semesters.

ANY STUDENTS that are considering taking courses through this path need to attend with a parent.  One of the difficult challenges of this program is the higher level of responsibility put on the student, both within the class and in navigating college.  It is important that students understand their responsibility in the program.

We look forward to seeing you there!
