NC Open House and Senior Guidance - Sept. 14

Newark Catholic will be hosting our annual open house on Wednesday, September 14, from 6-7 pm.  Parents are invited to walk the building, view our classrooms and labs, meet teachers, and view the resources used in the classrooms.  Teachers will be stationed throughout the building by department, and classrooms will be open for you to tour.  Sophomore and Junior parents can stop by the cafeteria to pick up the spring scores from the state End-of-Course exams and talk to the guidance staff about any questions you have about testing.

 

Immediately after the open house, senior guidance night will be held in the cafeteria.  Mrs. Welch will begin at 7 pm with information on college applications, scholarships, graduation requirements, and preparing your son or daughter to transition to the next stage of their life.  Misty Amacher, a financial aid representative from OSU/COTC, will follow with a presentation about applying for financial aid and the new FAFSA process.  The FAFSA opens in October and the process is new this year, so this is an important piece to affording college – we recommend all senior parents attend.  We expect to be done around 8:30 pm.  Contact Mrs. Welch with questions (dwelch@laca.org)
