NC seeking Annual Auction Chairperson/Co-Chairs

The Newark Catholic High School Steering Committee is currently accepting applications from interested candidates to serve as our 2020 Touch of Class Auction Chairperson or Co-Chairs. This is a volunteer role, and hours will count toward School Volunteer Hours. This year’s auction will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2020
 
As the Auction Chairperson(s) you will be the master motivator behind the Auction. The Chair will recruit volunteers, oversee the budget, manage the solicitation of auction items and the planning of the event (theme, décor, menu, etc.), manage the completion of all aspects of the auction and the event, hold committee members accountable for their tasks and the overall goals of the event, work with NCHS Steering Committee to manage and adhere to the approved budget, and serve as the liaison between the committee and the Steering Committee.
 
You will mobilize subcommittees to complete specific tasks and will champion this event as a community-builder while highlighting how the event impacts students as a result of the dollars raised.
 
Qualifications for this role include:

Strong organizational skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
General understanding of the goals and ideals of Newark Catholic
 
Anticipated Time Commitment:
Monthly 1 hour meetings – November – January
Biweekly meetings – January
Weekly meetings – February, March, April
Event Date – Saturday, April 25, 2020
