NC Students Give Back - St. Joseph Worker Day

On Friday, May 1 Newark Catholic students worked in the community assisting local organizations and families with miscellaneous jobs and activities. They ended the day honorong the Blessed Virgin Mary with the May Crowning

 

May 1st has long been dedicated to labor and the working man. The first of May is also dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Pope Pius XII expressed the hope that this feast would accentuate the dignity of labor and would bring a spiritual dimension to labor unions.
