Ohio EdChoice Scholarship Program

The Educational Choice Scholarship (EdChoice) Program was created to provide students from underperforming public schools the opportunity to attend participating private schools. The program provides up to 60,000 EdChoice scholarships to eligible students. The EdChoice Scholarship Program is expanding in Ohio and more students are now available to receive significant tuition scholarships to attend Newark Catholic.

Applications open for the 2020 – 2021 school year on February 1, 2020.

Newark Catholic High School is a provider for the Ohio EdChoice Scholarship Program. The program provides students who attend designated, under-performing public schools in their resident district with the opportunity to attend participating private schools. This aid is not need-based. The Ohio Department of Education funds EdChoice Scholarships of $6,000 per year for high school students. Both new and renewal applications for the 2020-2021 school year may be submitted between February 1 and April 15, 2020. Students who reside in Licking County may be eligible to apply. For a complete list of under-performing schools, click here.
