The Top 6 Reasons I’m excited about the new Newark Catholic website
We are very excited to finally be launching our new website. Today, www.newarkcatholic.org got a whole new face. The new site has been in the works for months, and it is beyond satisfying to finally see it go live. We’ve redesigned the layout with simplicity, ease of use, and accessibility in mind. It will be a tool for both fulfilling our mission and helping us provide better resources to our parents and prospective families.
A few of our goals with the new website were to give it a fresh new look with a consistent brand message throughout, make it easier to navigate and find what you need quickly, but most of all, we wanted to help our NC Families and Prospective Families get to know us better.
A few of my favorite new features include:
- Tour the School and meet the Faculty – Get to know the faces behind the names in our new Faculty & Staff Directory under the About Us section. Click on the Bios and and find out which teacher had a guinea pig named him Twinkie.
- Integrated School & Sports Calendar – Our new calendar combines school and athletic events, but you can filter by either category by clicking on the either School Events or Athletic Events at the top right of the calendar. It also includes a pop-up when you hover over an event so you can see details or recent scores quickly. The calendar is also in a printer friendly format, which makes it ideal to hang on your refrigerator for the whole family to see.
- Prospective Student Section – Now students and families considering Newark Catholic as a high school option can conveniently learn about the school online and easily Request a Visit. A new School Profile is available along with other important information about Newark Catholic.
- Resource Center – Now all the schools forms, Lunch Program, School Uniform, Bell Schedule information is all in one place, making it easier than ever to find what you need quickly. You can even find out who the Student Officers are for this year.
- Alumni Area – Our alumni are a big part of what has made Newark Catholic what it is today and we want you to stay in touch with us. It’s as simple as filling out the Alumni Update Form and hitting ‘send’.
- Enhanced Faith Life Section – See the Campus Ministry Schedule as well as learn more about Kairos. And on the right hand side of these pages you will find a Campus Ministry slideshow.
