Wollenberg Named Advocate’s 2012 Female Athlete of the Year

Congratulations to Newark Catholic senior Caroline Wollenberg for being named the 2012 Female Athlete of the Year by the Newark Advocate.
As a junior, Caroline was an MSL-Ohio Central District pick in both basketball and softball. She helped NC win the MSL and District titles in basketball, and almost to the district championship in softball.
Caroline led the Green Wave’s basketball team this year with 81 percent foul shooting and 52 percent field-goal shooting, averaging 11 points and 7 rebounds per game.
In softball, she batted .462 with 5 home runs, 33 BI, and 30 runs scored. She was NC’s cleanup hitter and third baseman.
