Admissions Process
Newark Catholic High School is a Catholic college preparatory high school, operated by the Diocese of Columbus that offers excellent academic and religious instruction in a positive school culture where all students feel safe and welcome. This atmosphere contributes to the spiritual, intellectual, social, and physical growth of our students. Newark Catholic admits students who demonstrate the ability and desire to succeed academically, a willingness to accept the challenges and expectations of our curriculum, and the commitment to embrace the school’s Catholic identity and participate in the spiritual life of the school.

Admission of Students to the Freshman Class
Students who have attended Catholic elementary schools within the Diocese of Columbus at one of the below-designated feeder schools for two or more years are admitted unconditionally if the following criteria have been met:
- Completion of the admission forms Download Registration Form
- Average or better achievement in their eighth-grade course of study
- Satisfactory Discipline and Attendance Records
Students from schools other than diocesan Catholic elementary schools may be admitted based upon the following criteria:
- Completion of the admission forms,
- Average or better achievement in their eighth-grade course of study, and
- Satisfactory Disciplinary & Attendance Records
Once the above items have been submitted and satisfactorily reviewed by the Newark Catholic administration, an interview with the Principal will be scheduled for the student and his/her parent or guardian. Following the interview, an admission decision will be made by the Newark Catholic administration and conveyed to the parent/guardian.
