Extraordinary

I graduated from Newark Catholic High School in 2017, while its STEM program was expanding. I helped found the school's robotics team and was in the very first engineering-for-robotics class. We competed in FIRST Robotics, where we had to design and build a robot that could perform specific tasks.

Bethanie (Hiebel) Fink, class of 1989, has always seen mathematics as a unique way to understand the order and beauty of God's creation. Today, she is back in the classroom, serving as a Mathematics Teacher at Bishop Ludden-Grimes Jr/Sr High School, where she teaches Math for 7th and 8th grade, Algebra 1 Honors, and Financial Algebra.

The road to film began at an early age for Libby Ewing, 2002 graduate. She has fond memories of growing up in a family that encouraged her to be whatever your heart desired. As a child, she remembers playing dress up and always tried to weasel her way out of projects as a student at Blessed Sacrament by writing commercials and filming.

Engineering came naturally to Aaron Link, 1995 NC graduate. A gearhead with his father in their garage growing up, as well as racing at Mid-Ohio was just part of life in the household, specifically working on the bright orange 1973 Porsche 914.

Matt Shay grew up with a sense of appreciation and pride for NCHS. His family was committed and engaged in the community, encouraging growth and full of grace. Many friends and unique opportunities in the small, but mighty, school is what he remembers most.
